This camera is great. After my SLR, moving to this D-SLR (as an
amateur) is amazing.
3MP images are excellent. I do some short night photography and
the 15" (second) exposure is great. It acts almost as well as my
SLR did.
I love that it has both SM and CF+II. With CF i can just buy an
adapter and have SD, xD or any new smaller format available for
use in my camera. Microdrive is important and will be useful when
I get a big one (2.2GB or (if supported ??) 4GB).
I have only 2 gripes:
No cable/remote shutter capability.
No zip cable capability for my really old flash.
Apart from that I must say - I can not imagine a better camera that
this for my photography.
The only real copmetitor at price/features is the nikkon 995. Even
then the nikkon only has a 4x optical zoom vs 6x (who even uses
the digital zoom let alone cares about it??). Barrel distortion is
greater on the nikkon. Also, when using the nikkon I can easily
feel the zoom in action when I use it. This made me wonder about
build quality.
Problems:
Camera neck strap can get in way of media door and left side stuff
(A/C port, A/V port, USB port, AF/MF dial+button, shift button)
amateur) is amazing.
