I would not touch this camera with a 10 ft barge pole again! I purchased this camera as my 1st digicam and within 2 months a part on it broke which meant the entire camera froze up - I couldn't even turn it off. I took it back to the store who sent it away to get fixed. It was part was then replaced with another faulty part! The store then replaced it with a brand new LC5. I only had the new one for about a month before exactly the same thing happened in this one too! I have since taken the faulty camera back to the store where it has been replaced with a Sony Cybershot.
I dont feel like the camera was very good value for money $1700 NZD for a 4 megapixel camera of this standard.
It has good features and most of the photos I took on it came out ok, however it was difficult to get good indoor shots using the flash - most seemed to be overexposed.
I also found that it had a slow reaction when taking the shot and the red eye reduction was not very effective.
