I have been looking for a camera that has a large LCD, so I can use it without wearing my reading glasses, and discovered this camera can display both record and playback images (and text, which I struggle with) on the veiwfinder display, which is very clear.
There is no sign of camera shake or blurred images, even at telephoto, the speed of the lense providing fast shutter speeds to counter this.
The auto-focus is fairly quick, although hunts a bit if two items of differing distance are close together. It is, however, very accurate.
Movies are very good, like a video camera.
The camera body looks flimsy, dressed in shiny silver, but feels very different - solid. The lense housing does rattle a little when the camera is shaken, but I believe this is intentional and not poor build.
Some buttons are programmable, and the menu system intuitive, with four record menus and one playback menu, as well as setup options.
All in all, a lot of options in the menus, rather than a lot of buttons - some prefer one or the other.
Problems:
Can't fault it. Yes I can - silver - yuck!
