Oh My GOD! Thank you Jim for recommending this camera as highly as you did. I just recieved my camera today which I puchased on-line at buydig.com. I am new to digital photography but I must tell you this tiny camera is a blast. It is so easy to use. Open and shoot. I also have been playing with the manual modes and having a blast. I have taken several hundred pictures in all different modes with great success. I can't begin to tell you the fun I am having.
One thing I noticed with my camera was the menu system was far easier to use than I expected based on several other posts here. Jim, I saved your "Cheat Sheet" on setup but found mine was already almost identically setup to your cheatsheet setings. I wander if Minolta may have upgraded its software based on comments. Almost all features were ON from the get go. The only feature I changed was the QuickView. Great camera.
I also have no problems in very low light, I wonder if maybe some of the other cameras may have been faulty.
I also purchased 2 additional SD cards for the camera. The first is a Sandisk 128 normal speed and the second is a Sandisk 256 Ultra 2. Both cards appear to work great with no problems so far. Knock on wood!
I also purchased 2 extra batteries from eBay for $24 for the pair. Everything seems to be OK with them also. At least as far as charging them. I have not tried them in the camera yet! Have you had any problems with generic type batteries? The ones I purchased are TitaniumPower for Konica DR-LB4.
Construction, ease of use, size and fun factor make this one of the best deals I have had in quite some time.
