I´ve been using my new A80 for a month now and I have explored all the functions this camera has to offer. Normally I use a Canon G5 at work and the similarity between the G5 and A80 is huge. Most of the functions used on the G5 can be found on the A80.

Problems:

I´ve come across some problem while testing the camera in auto-mode. The autofocus (9-point) is according to my self a real disaster. If you try to shoot 3 or 4 pictures on the same object and every shot in made from the same angle you will discover that the autofocus has focused on different object on each photo!.

The battery consumption is very good on this camera especially if using 2200mA rechargeble batteries however the low power indicator does not work satisfactory, the red warning comes about 3 to 4 shots before the batteries are empty and what happens if you´re shooting a picture and the camera shuts down while the picture is saving to the falshcard? the entire card will be ruined and you will have to re-format the card. This happend to me on a trip to Thailand, I lost 150pictures!

Plastic fantastic... Yes the entire body feels like plasic however some parts are made by metal according to CANON LTD.. wich one´s I don´t know..
