This camera is built like a brick.

Its big lens captures alot of light and can give you some very satisfying images. The flip out view screen is nice. The battery lasts for days. The operating system is well thought out and very easy to use.

The included software for transferring and printing images is better than others (though still has room for improvement). You can attach accessories for wide angle, telephoto and flash - not many other cameras in this price range allow that.

Problems:

Ultimately, I was dissappointed by this camera, primarily because of its size, weight and ungainly accessories.

The power brick is larger than the power brick for my laptop. Sure, you can attach external flash and lens accessories, but the CCD is only 4 megapixels. If you are going for professional results, use film. The resolution and dynamic range of digital cameras is just not in the same ballpark.

The sensitivity of the camera was also dissappointing. The F2.0 lens was a big selling point for me, and I thought I would be able to capture expressive still life compositions in ambient light. This did not turn out to be true. Digital photography is so different from film that it is a mistake to draw conclusions based upon your experience from film.
