1) E-1 felt right at the first grip and still does -- top notch quality in every detail, 2) very film like images, straight out from the CF card, capturing colours and nuances in a remarkable way, 3) basically all vital controls readily accessible via dedicated buttons or combination of two buttons, 4) very smooth, quiet and distinct shuitter/mirror action (=long hand held shots) + very good grip/balance, 5) almost every important control function customizeable, 6) high speed USB/FW interface
Problems:
Minor things: 1) the four custom resets (a very useable function) should be easier to retrieve (one touch button, like the WB button). 2) miss the OM series split screen/microprism manual focus -- we are still some out there wanting to focus manually from time to time, 3) ISO setting not shown constantly in the LCD/finder, 4) more than four times zoom in view mode desirable
