Being a newcomer to serious photography as well as digital cameras, the learning curve was as steep as Mt.Everest.
I have found the A80 to be an excellent camera for first timers, had a few problems deciphering the manual and some difficulty seeing the small display, Macro shots are superb,NiMh battery life is excellent, Have printed A4 photos with excellent resolution, and after reading the forums agree on comments re the AiAf feature, but totally impressed with ease of use and end result.Would go with Canon again anyday.
Problems:
None to date, have yet to do serious inside shots.
Had trouble with "moonshot" on clear evening.
