Pink pixels in blue sky

I'm shooting a Canon G1. The photo in the link below was shot in highest quality mode (L) with lowest compression (S). In photos of this type (low morning or evening light with lots of blue sky and/or reflected blue sky) I find I consistently get "patchy" looking pink pixels interspersed with the blue. Obviously, I want the pink color, but it would seem it should be more evenly disbursed. Any suggestions for actions or other creative solutions to get a "smoother" look?

Have you tried looking at you're picture on another computer?
