I've used and tested the camera more than a month now so it is time for a tiny review :)

- cool DSLR-like design (did you know this is not DSLR? :)
- combination of O.I.S. (optical image stabililation) and F2.8 makes it possible to get sharp pictures in unusual conditions. It also helps you to shoot moving objects, like never before! (OIS!)
- superfast burst mode - with fast SD card up to 5-6 consecutive shots! Also great ability for macro shots - the camera can focus almost at the surface of the external lens.
- large, bright 2" LCD - very helpful with previewing your shots
- manual focus with assistance - almost works like using DSLR as magnification lets you focus the object accurately
- full manual aperture/shutter control. Very useful of shooting something in bright sunlight, you can prevent the "burned" parts of the images, also create silhouette effect and much more.. DSLR feature again :)

Coolpix 5700, Oly C750 UZ, Kodak DX6490, Minolta Z1 were also the alternatives to choose from. Check out the features of these, and try to make some test pics to feel the difference :)

some example pictures available here:

Problems:

- too little (1/2.5") CCD sensor for 4 megapixels camera.
- no wireless/wired remote contral
- no rotating LCD screen
- ergonomics should be better. location of shutter release button is a bit weird, it tires your finger when you have to shoot with patience (wildlife). In manual mode, you might not reach the "exposure" button comfortably. Location of zoom is also a bit weird..
- with lens zoomed full out to 8-12x, consider magenta halos appearing in big contrast areas. This is a major problem even with the lower zoom. For example, Nikon 5700 with 1,5x Nikon teleconverter provides also 12x zoom, but with no magenta horror in contrast areas.
