Bad experience with this one.
Bought this camera online, because I had an older cybershot that had been great. 2 months after purchase (and careful handling) all of the buttons on the back stopped working. It was immediately after connecting it to my laptop and transferring photos over. Every button on the back was completely useless - pushing them brought no results at all. So I could take photos, just couldn't change any settings. Tried resetting it to factory and was on the phone with tech support for two hours before they finally told me to ship it to them, and for around 150 dollars, they'd fix it.
It cost $325. So instead I took the batteries out, put it in storage for now, and bought a Canon Powershot S400. I have been in love with that camera ever since.
I would never - NEVER - purchase another Sony. Bad experience with a shoddy camera. Funny thing - the DSC-P50 that I bought a couple years ago still works fantastic, and we are planning on handing it down to my oldest son for a first digital camera. So maybe it is only a problem with that model - either way, I won't take any more chances.
(Although, I am not a professional photographer, so what do I know?)
Problems:
Buttons ceased to work on the back of the camera. Every button lost its functionality except the one you use to snap photos.
