Copared to the S40, a lot of improvement. I could not believe the RAW picrtures I get with this camera---for all intents, rivals my S2! In actuality, though, the feature set is vastly too intense for a casual point and shoot. Most people who buy it will never use all the features and many are buried in menus. Wiith DSLRS coming down in price the money (IMHO) would better go to a simple shirtpocket P&S like the Minolta XG for casual use and a separate DLSR type for serious shooting. A rare person with advanced skills may have to have one camera, and this one would be great.

Problems:

None. Just wish it used AA batteries instead of these expensive and not-too long lasting Lithium types. I never get the number of pictures advertised with these expsnsive batteries.
