This camera is my first DSLR. One reason why this camera is a great value is because they house is in plastic, instead of a more durable/protective material. This hasn't affected my judgement on the camera, but keep this in mind for what your focus will be with whatever camera you choose.
I'm pleased with the digital file. On the highest JPEG quality setting, it makes 8 inch by 10 inch files (3072x2048 pixels at 180 PPI). This can be easily enlarged and not suffer from much quality loss. Largest print I have seen from this camera was 16x24 inches, and it looked great.
I may have saved some extra money, however, and bought the Nikon D70.
Problems:
Sensor accumulated dust fairly quickly (I always store my camera without the lens on so I am constantly changing the lens).
