I have had this camera for over a year now and use it quite a lot (primarily with a Tamron 19-35mm lens, though also with a Canon 28-135mm IS lens and a Canon 100-300mm lens). Prior to the D10 I primarily used a Canon Elan IIe 35mm camera, which I would normally bring along with me on trips, believing that the film would produce superior photos. My last two trips proved that belief to be completely wrong! The D10 produced such excellent photos that I have now decided to give up on using the 35mm.

Overall, this camera is outstanding, and until they come up with a similarly-priced 30 megapixel camera, I am not likely to switch.

Problems:

If I have any complaints about the D10 it would be that when the power-save feature kicks in you have to wait about 2 seconds before it turns back on and you can take a shot. While this may seem like a short time in print, in the field it seems like an eternity! To get around this, when I know I am likely to need the camera on short notice, I keep tapping the shutter part-way as I walk to keep the camera active. Dumb, but it works.
