This is the third digital camera we have purchased. After a long research on the internet, and having owned Olypmus in the past, we chose the C-5060. I have used this camera for the past six months and found the photos to be excellent. This camera gives you the best of both worlds..."point and shoot" and manual" when you want to be more creative. The 5 MP works well and produces great 8x10 photos. This camera is very well built, feels solid in your hands, not like a "plastic toy" like other brands. For the price, features and photo quality, ou can't go wrong with the C-5060.
Problems:
The camera was working fine until one day about a month ago. The mode dial quit working for no reason. The camera was not dropped, banged or exposed to mositure. I took the camera to a local authorized repair facility and it had to be shipped back to Olympus for a mode dail replacement.
For the novice, this camera might be overkill, as there is a learning curve for all it's features, but once you take the time to sit down with the camera and go throught the manual, you'll be glad you bought it. One piece of advice..down load and print the Reference manual from the Olympus web site...a lot of useful information.
