I own a V1 and was looking for something smaller to tote. I can only
comment on my experience and in saying that, I will give the
thumbs up here. Why?? Although I had a few others in mind (Canon S200/
300 to mention a few), I had some variables to consider. I already owned
some mem stix. I was very much acclimated to the SONY gui. I really cannot
stand the fact that many Cos do not supply the power supply/ac adapter - and
SONY does. Yes, I did read many/and was aware of the concerns posted out
here and we all know the spex. I really liked the Canons for their form factor,
but in the end what closed this sale was the $$. I paid $299 CDN (Henry's
BoxDay). That's a steal if you ask me. I've been shooting left and right, and
safari sogoodee. My point is simply, there will always be a driving force behind
any decicions (size/price/quality), and mine essentially was price 1st, and all
others came in close after. I must say though, I am looking fwd to the P200
now that it has been announced.
