Currently, i am using Sony TRV-330 E (camcorder) and the Olympus Mu(analog-weatherproof) for my activities. It is about time to add a new member to the family.
I was looking for a ultra compact digital camera. In searching for the right one, I ve browsed thru canon and olympus website to comparing their camera features and price. Never have intention to step in the konica minolta site..
Basically, the 'must-have' features for my compact gadjet are:-
1. Non popup lense
2. Fast startup
3. Drive mode (the more the better) - for some action pictures
4. LCD and Optical view finder (doesnot matter)
5. Playback with sound (AV)
6. Makro mode
At first, Canon Ixus i5 did catch my attention as well as the Verve by Olympus (i was going for olympus product-but the verve not doing so well), until i accidently met the X50.
It has all the features and the 'audio recording mode' really chained me to it.
Honestly, X50 is a brilliant and superb product by Konica Minolta. The quick response time, user-friendly software and the webcam gve it the extra point with reasonable price too.
Picturewise, no problem, u can always touch-up using the dimage viewer software (better get SLR if you are really serious in picture quality).
Now, i never leave home without it.
Lastly, thanks Konica Minolta for the funtastic X50...
TQ.

Problems:
It is not weatherproof. I m geting the Lowepro product (stretch casing) to cover this gadjet from the bad uncertain weather.
