Approx 5000 photos so far and I'm finding it terrific. I particularly like the macro, as it has permitted me to digitize my slide collection. I also appreciate the ability to use my old Vivitar 285 flash. I was shooting outside in the dark tonite at subjects more than 100 feet away with it and it worked great.
I haven't utilized the RAW features yet, since most of the shots I've taken (even at ISO 800) have turned out well.
I find the 2 second timer to be a great way to avoid camera shake when shooting hand held at slow shutter speeds, as it eliminates the shutter-button related movement. I picked up a .38 Wide angle and am elated with the results. Somehow the camera and lens combination pick up and even out all the light emmitted by my 285 Flash set on wide angle, and so interiors are lit wall to wall at the equivalent of 13mm. That would have taken 4 flash units with my old SLR equipment!

Problems:

I'm really disappointed in Fuji not providing a way to focus in low light. All that would be needed is a focus scale that could appear in the viewfinder or LCD. If it looked like one on a 35 and simply displayed an indicator as to where one was at, the problem would be solved.
I also find my 500 meg Dane-Elec CF card drains the batteries. I read these references to Fuji saying the camera was not designed for CF, but yet when you insert one the camera indicates it is a CF card. So that 'designed for microdrive' line is hogwash as far as I'm concerned. CF cards should simply WORK as they do in all other cameras.
Fuji should have it's corporate head in a bag over this one!
Other than that, the learning curve is a bit steep but it is really rewarding when the features are mastered.
