Why did they take out some items from the mode dial?
The zoom and the stability at the tele end of the zoom are the best.
Being able to take pictures when you are taking a video makes this camera unique.
Problems:
The design make it hard to hold the camera comfortably.
Compared to the S1 this camera is missing two commonly used scene selections (positions on the mode dial).
The running man / sports mode and the show shutter / night mode have been taken out.
You have to fuss with the cameras manual modes to take clear pictures of simple things like kids playing arround at the park.
You can go select the night mode from the "SCN" mode dial position but the faster shutter speeds have be set manually.
Not the best choice if all you are looking for is a point and shoot no fuss camera.
