i have been saving for awhile now to buy a D70 and justwhen i had enough the D70s was there...
this is the first DSLR i own (not the first 1 i used) after owning for a long time a nikon coolpix 5400 and a nikon CP 775 (long) before that...
i bought the camera+ kit lens (nikkor AF-S 17-80) and also a nikkor AF 28-200 lens (gives a eq. of 28-105 and 42-300mm) and the nikon SB-800 speedlight.
everything as for now is just perfect: easy for use, excellent quallity, great features that tops all other DSLRs out thre, just perfect.
builtin speedlight also works great and quite strong but i suggest using an external one fore mo serious photographing (be sure to use unly sb800 or 600)
Very fast camera, you can turn it on and take a shot instently.
also write very fast to the CF card, even to slow cards.
the screen is very big and sharp
menues are grea disigned, you can do everything without taking your eye off the viewfinder
battary life extremely long!! even while using built in speed light it takes forever for your battary to run off.
Problems:
none. everything about it is just perfect.
i couldnt ask fore more from a digital camera
already own the nikon captue so that doesnt bother me either.
WB s a bit different from what i used to on my 5400, but once you get used to it it works just fine
