Nikon 5900 - piece of junk ?
Problems:
I bought Nikon coolpix 5900 couple weeks ago and I notice that this camera has real problem with choosing appropriate ISO value in auto mode. I mean camera always choose ISO 64 even if thereby has to choose shutter speed shorten then 1/60 ( for example 1/16, 1/8 … ). This setting causes that most photos taken by this camera just aren’t sharp. I was inform Nikon Corporation about this problem and they comfier that the problem really exist ( “I've investigated your issue and have opened an official inquire with Nikon Corporation Japan regarding the function of the AUTO ISO system in this model.” – I get information like that from Manager Product Testing,Nikon Digital Imaging, Nikon Inc.) but after all they said that they won’t to do anything with this issue, because I can always set ISO manually even in AUTO and this is enough resolution to avoid this problem.
For me this camera is completely unuseful because of this problem ( really most part of photo taken by this camera aren’t sharp at all ) and if I wanted to play with ISO setting, probably I would buy something like Canon 350D or Nikon D70.
But never mind I just want to ask if someone else take notice of this problem as well. Maybe someone has real resolution of this problem ?
I also want to warns you. Before you choose Nikon think twice. I just lose almost 300$ buying this model.
