I use this camera since july 2005, and made about 2500 shots. I chose this camera becouse of features like Aparature and Shutter priority and also for its full manual controls. A510 is better than most of other low-end cameras with it's 4x optical Zoom. For amateur like me 3 megapixels are enough. (My first camera was 4MP and I found out that it's usles to pay for something that I don't need so often - better quality for magnified images or A4 format), also LCD is fine - just right dimension, and bright. Camera is not so small, so it can be held in hand without problems. I used A510 also this sumer, when I was hiking over Slovak mountains for 19 days, without any problems. I used it even in rain; and made some good shots throuhg astronomical telescope at poor light conditions. Battery life is restfull, more than 200 shots with my old 2300NiMH batteries fully satisfied me. This camera is quite good (or was at the time when I purchased it) solution in fact of its price/funcoins.

Problems:

Much noise at high ISO (400), quite complicated Menu - especially func. like self timer and continuous drive are hidden deeper than in other cams, so it takes slightly more time to set it. Couln't be used as flash disk (files can't be copied to SD card. Limited video, but 3 minutes are quite enough. NiMH rechargible bateries and larger SD card are not integrated in package, but unfortunatly it is standard now.
