Aside from some quality control issues in manufacturing (I exchanged my first s9k for a new one), I have become quite pleased and impressed with this camera. The more I use it, the more I like it.

You do get better results from RAW, especially if your images have large areas of subtle detail or similar color.

Unlike many, I don't mind the noise factor at 1600. I mean, hey, it IS 1600 ISO!

Flip up LCD screen is quite handy and I've made use of it a great deal.

I bought this camera for its long focal length range, convenience and price and so far, I have not been disappointed.

I also own a D70 and find they are a good pairing

Problems:

EVF and LCD seem to be a bit too high in contrast, making it hard to judge anything but composition.

The "F" button is under utilized, but an excellent idea. I was hoping it was the replacement for the SHIFT button that was on my 602, but it doesn't have near the feature set.

Initial camera had serious sharpness problems, but the new one I exchanged it for works just fine.
