I've had mine for about a year now, and I'm glad I bought when I did -- even though it's come down in price a fair bit, I've had a whole heap of use out of it.
Just an explanation of my ratings:
- construction: good for a modern camera, better than most of the competition in the price range, definitely better than the equivalent Canons.
- features: couldn't really ask for more, but I guess it could have a few more things I can't think of.
- image quality: what you make of it really -- depends on the lens. Certainly as good or better than similar 6 megapixel cameras.
- ease of use: one of the reasons I was attracted to the camera in the first place. It's controls are logically arranged, and it almost invites you to try out everything -- I am a software engineer though, so perhaps not the best judge! But I also design user interfaces, so I'm always checking that sort of thing out.
- value for money: excellent because nothing in the price range comes close (if you want a DSLR, there isn't much else in the price range... at least in Australia).
Problems:
- having said the user interface is excellent (which it is), metering mode being buried in a menu gets a little annoying once you decide you want to start changing it more often.
