I have been shooting with 500si since 1998 and have been waiting for this camera to come out ever since I got my first digicam ages ago.

The ability to use your old lenses was my major reason for waiting this long before jumping from point and shoot to DSLR. Price wise this camera is a bang for the buck bargain. Go get yourself one before your neighbour!

I am so impressed what my first week's of shooting has produced, even with my fairly old lenses (35-70 f3.5-4.5 and 70-210 f4-5.6), and this just in the extra fine jpeg setting. I can't wait to dig deeper into the features of this truly great entry DSLR camera.

It fits my fairly big hand like a glove and most buttons are well laid out for easy adjustments of all sorts.

It's low light abilities are truly stunning. I can now take pictures I never thought possible. I expect to wear this camera out soon ... I simply LOVE it!

Problems:

A fairly steep learning curve. But with the results in automatic mode you will be happy to learn, make mistakes and get to be a better photographer.

Apart from that? Nothing that I can think of. Apart from no protection glass for the display and no printed manual.
