I bought this camera through the Sharper Image in late September. The 2nd day I had it, it broke and gave me a "Lens Error" message. I returned it to the store and they gave me a new one - the bonus was that this one was made in Japan!

I dropped it, and the lens actually got misaligned, and wouldn't retract. I banged it around a bit and was able to fix it.

Several weeks later, it started having protraction/retraction problems, giving me the dreaded "Lens Error" message again. I was able to bang the lens around again (I really wouldn't recommend this at all, by the way) and fix it. So for all it's faults, it does fix itself nicely!

The picture quality is fantastic except for the 'anti-shake' setting in Best Shot mode. Sometimes the flash is too bright, but the great thing is, almost everything on this camera can be adjusted manually; flash brightness, ISO, aperture, shutter speed, etc.

It's a love/hate kind of camera. Overall I'd say it's pretty good from a calculator company!

Problems:

Frequent "Lens Error" message (many users experience this problem) but it was able to be fixed
