It's a undoubtedly a great Camera. Those who were used to the EOS 1V will surely like it. Very responsive (sometimes too responsive). With cheaper lenses, check settings with P, AV or TV then set to M and step exposure slightly up (e.g. slower). If you are not planning for printing big posters (A3 or bigger) then 4 Mega pixels is all you need really. Better invest for lenses. I have been intensively using my EOS 1D for three years now, it's very resistant to usage, rain, snow, low/high temperatures.

Problems:

No matter how hard I tried, deep purple flowers look blue.
If anybody has comparative experience with other 1Dx please let me know.
Have a second battery. Especially in cold weather, the battery will let you down rather quickly. Use direct electricity (provided) whenever possible. Charger can connect to 2 batteries!!
Pitty they offer no alternative to the Canon battery like I had with my EOS 1V. Also, no multiple pictures on same frame (looks like they don't do it in digital cameras).
Of course, it is also not a light weight camera, so you better have strong arms and shoulders.
Otherwise an excellent camera.
