Been out of the camera arena for a while. Had gotten to the experienced novice level in 35MM about 25 years ago. This is my second digital camera; the first a P&S Olympus that I got through work. As I am re-learning photography in general and learning the camera, it could be a challenge, but I find the overall setup of the camera to be easy enough to learn that only a little knowledge is required to produce good pictures. I have experimented a little with the more manual capabilities of the camera and have also found those to be readily accessible and easy to use and understand. Overall, this camera seems to be an excellent value for novices or anyone wanting a reasonably priced camera with a lot of DSLR features.
Problems:
Some graininess at higher ISO > 400. Haven't experimented with these in RAW to see what Photoshop will do.
RAW selection imbedded too deep in the menu's; should be in the photo menu..
