Having used a D100 for 3 years, I am now spoiled by the ease of use, and quality of images from the D200. Great handling, and built like a tank. You really get to see the advantage of top notch lenses with this camera.
Battery life started off at 70 images to low. Now, after 4 charges, I am getting 150 - 250 shots per charge. Not as good as the D100, but acceptable.

I LOVE using my old 135mm f2.0 AI lens, and the 55mm 1.2 prime AI. Never could do much with them on the D100, but they shine on the D200. The 55 1.2 ends up as an IDAEL portrait lens with the 1.5x factor. The f1.2 aperature gives me amazing control of DOF, and excellent portraits.

Problems:

I have minor banding in my camera, but it doesn't bother me. I'll probably send it back to Nikon once they have a permenant fix for this MINOR problem.

EVen with minor banding, the images are better than those from my beloved D100 any day of the week.
