I picked up the Olympus E-300 about two weeks ago and have been very pleased overall. The camera auto-focuses very fast on stationary targets and tracks moving targets very fast also. Since it is an older model, I got a real good deal on the camera/lens set (new for $570.00). I also purchased the additional BLD-3 battery grip, which made the camera even more comfortable for me to hold and shoot with. Overall, the camera performs very well, but has been very underrated in most reviews I read. My first Olympus and I must say I am happy.

Problems:

The only issue I had was all the pictures seemed to have a very slight orange/red tint to them. When I upgraded to the most recent firmware (1.3), it seemed to correct it. I will say that out of the five DSLR cameras I owned prior to the E-300 (2-D70's, 1 Pentax *ist DS, and Konica-Minolta Maxxum 7D), that the E-300 is not the best, but it is right up there right behind the front runner (Pentax *ist DS/my opinion).
