I don't own the camera but I had a long test of it at a Sony store.
It'd fantastic in most respects don't doubt me that, it has a good screen, its not nearly as bad as many reviewers have you believe. Its as bright and as good as any other, and a good size as well.

The camera operation is bliming fast. The most amazing this is shutter lag including focusing. Its nearly instantaneous. You press the button and the pictures taken.

You guys probably already know all the specs so I'm not going to go into them. ISO 1000 mode on the LCD did look grainy unfortunately. Yet, I reckon its still better than having no ISO1000. ISO400 once I zoomed in playback mode, only showed a bit of artefacting, not too much (although it depends if you're a perfectionist or not, I'm not).

That brings me to build quality. I spent most of the 10minutes I was looking at it, feeling around. It surprisingly weighs well, it doesn't feel too light, but its not heavy either. Unfortunately, the 5 way controller was cheap and slightly rattly. Like seriously, they took shortcuts to get this price, but why'd you have to make the rear panel buttons so goddamn cheap, it would've cost'd an extra cent to make them sturdier.

I was all go for this camera, cause functionally its fantastic, but I'm not going to go for it because of that 5way pad. The middle button is the main enemy, and rattles.

In the end like with most cameras, try before you buy, it'll tell you more than any review can.

Problems:

- buttons on the rear are CHEAP CHEAP

Keyboard shortcuts
