I got this camera in December and absolutely love it. Coming from a
digital point and shoot it's night and day. Being able to fine tune the
photos in the camera and shoot RAW is great.
I am now addicted to shooting and I have caught the 'lens upgrade'
bug. The 18-70 lens is very good quality, but eventually you will
probably want a wide angle and telephoto-zoom lens. I'll probably end
up spending $2000 to get some good quality lenses to go with this
camera.
The camera is put together very well and seems very strong. I actually
bought this camera as a 'demo' from e-bay and it looked brand new
when I got it. For the price that I paid ($800 for camera body and lens)
you can't go wrong.
Problems:
The only problem is that you'll want to be getting the latest and
greatest lenses and flashes, which costs quite a bit of money.
