Overall i think this camera is one of the best out there. I give it 5's all around,
especially for the magnesium body with weather seals. I love that you can control
the SB800 and 600 speedlights IN THE CAMERA. that's a big time saver and i can
program different shooting modes and have them ready for wherever i am. Ease of
use is a 4.5 because there's so much to set and go through. If you want to change
strobe on the spot quickly, you have to go through some deep menus to change
them. the menu depth is a nuisance more than anything. If you spend the hour or
2 to make memory banks for your main shooting situations, it's better. Sharpness is
a little below par, but if you pump it up in the camera, you get really great images.
You can do it in post with no problems too.
Problems:
I liked the push-button LCD illuminator on the D70. they should have kept it. rotating
the power button is hit or miss sometimes.
