Upgraded from the original digital rebel manly for the faster response and smaller size. Like the speed of startup, number of shots you can take, extra features. I particularly enjoy the ability to focus independently of the shutter using the custom functions. Takes good, low noise photos. Flash is a big improvement over the 300D. Battery life is good, for the smaller battery. I use it with the accessory grip, and don't have any issues with the size. I haven't lost changes to settings due to forgetting the extra step (hitting SET after a change), and don't find the viewfinder too dim in bright light. But overall, a little harder to use that the original rebel. I really like the ability to jump back and forth through images by date. Huge number of options for lenses etc. with EOS system and third party lenses. Like the black and white option - although you can do it post processing, it gives you an idea of how it will look before you get home - take a few on BW then go back to color and take the rest.

Things I don't like (none of these seriously hamper use of the camera):
-The full info review seems to have shrunk the image a little to fit more text in, I find it a touch small
-Finish marks easily, but seems durable enough
-Although I don't find it hard to change menu items, I do find that since you are always in the menus, it takes longer to do one-time tasks, since it comes up where you left off. With the 300D I could leave it on Custom White balance and it would stay there for a long time, instantly available form the menu button
-Don't like extra warning to change to custom WB
-Flash exp compensation not that quick to change, no easy button
-Wish I could change the print button to something else
-Viewfinder a little small, have to rely on auto focus more
-Exposures seems more difficult to nail compared to the 300D, doesn't seem as forgiving in bright light situations.
-Tungsten white balance isn't usable, need to use custom WB for indoor pictures.

Problems:

Exposures seems more difficult to nail compared to the 300D, doesn't seem as forgiving in bright light situations. Had some corrupt images (approx. 5) that look like they were the card, but may have been due to power off or opening the door during writing.
