After my first opinion I've taken more test shots at similar locations where I previously tested Canon XT, Canon 20D, Nikon D50, Nikon D70s, Nikon D200 and other P&S highly recomended cameras. At this moment I am speechless regarding the quality of FZ50's photos. The Leica lens is realy showing its superiority. With SLR lenses you may have to spend thousands of dollars, dealing with unsolvable dust problems, carrying huge and heavy photo bags. It is also obvious that the "Made in Japan" logo has a truly meaning of quality. ( wake up America )
Now after over 200 test shots and partcipating in petition to Panasonic for firmware update, I have found some solution to overcome the "noise issue"
In PROGRAM mode with image stabilization2 I set ISO to 400.This is equivalent of ISO1600 with no image stabilization. Compared this shot with no image stabilization - set ISO1600 - on "canikons" and the quality of ISO400 (image stabilized) is perfectly matching they ISO1800quality (no iomage stabilisation) in any means, including noise.
