This is my fifth digital camera and it is by any standard a gem. I love the feel, the lightness and above all else, the performance. This Sony could qualify as one of the best kept secrets of the year. I purchased this one as a carry along with my Nikon D70. I have a Minolta G-500, which has served me well, but didn't like the weight in my pocket nor the shutter lag.

The images are "spectacular". They are crisp, clear, vibrant and true. It's amazing thus far that I have remarkably little post processing to do.

I was impressed with quality of the movie mode and pleasantly surprised to find that I could shoot for 44 minutes on fine resolution with a 1G Memory Stick Duo Pro.

The Burst and Multi Burst modes performed admirably for action shots although I would have preferred an actual single shot Sport mode in this instance. There is a fair amount of manual control, but no aperture or shutter priority per se. I have been shooting mainly in Program mode and that will yield great results 90 plus percent of the time.

I will carry this camera with me just about always, mainly because I'm hardly aware that it's sitting in my pocket. I consider that to be a huge plus. I did my research on your website and in the process also considered a Casio Exilim. This Sony had rave reviews (even if only 4 of them)
therefore I decided to take the plunge.

I have been using this camera for the past week almost continuously and will post a follow up opinion in a month or so.

Problems:

None thus far! I would however like Sony to stop being so propietary. How about going to SD instead of Memeory Stick Duo Pro?? There was no soft case with the camera. I would have liked to have had that item included.
