Another 2006 perspective of this old "war horse" dSLR, Oly's E-10. For the bargain basement price a mint condition E-10 and Oly's lenses and other E-10 specific accessories are available for it, the E-10 is absolutely unequaled for studio and still photos!

I find the E-10 to be superb for studio/product photos where its slower read/write times aren't critical. By the time I've finished re-arranging the products I'm photographing, my E-10 is always ready for another round of 4 photos.

It's perfect for its price for very high quality studio/product and landscape photos. I find its gorgeous fixed aspheric zoom lens takes beautiful still photos, coupled with the fact that the E-10 is an incredibly well-built, very durable camera, even if a bit on the heavy side.

Problems:

The E-10's dSLR technology is obviously 6 years behind the curve and it takes a long time to write JPG and especially RAW files to the CF memory card. It is not a dSLR for action/sports and/or "on the move" type photos, its read/write times are too slow for that. Its gorgeous aspheric zoom lens is permanently affixed to the E-10, thus, there is no interchangeable lens capability. However, Oly's add-on E-10 lenses, the MCON-35, the TCON-300S, TCON-14B and WCON-8B are excellent, all things considered.
