I picked up my A-100 for $636 shipped and I don't think there is a better value out there as of 1/07.
I find the auto focus lightning fast w/ my Tamron 17-50 2.8 lens. I shoot RAW and find the images exposure is pretty good and using CS2 my printed images are very nice.
I think that in camera Anti-shake is an extremely important feature (my 3rd camera w/ this feature). Blur caused by camera movement is the number one cause of hand held shots to be compromised.
I recommend the Sony and think that other DSLR's w/ in body anti-shake are also worth a hard look.
Problems:
My camera functions well. I knew going in that shooting RAW would be the best bet for the high ISO pics (which a lot of people like to focus on).
