I see a lot of people complaining about noise. Yes all small sensor camera's will have that none excluded. I have a Canon 30D myself and started comparing. Of course you can't this is a nice small cigarette package size camera with a buatiful 28mm - 102 mm lens. It is a point and shoot one. It can do much more (for they pack a lot of features in it). But don't try high ISO above 200 in the free mode for the longest shutter speed in only 1/8. So avoid the Intelligent ISO setting for you will get some dissapointing noisy photo's unse only Automatic ISO in the free mode then it is OK. Instead of higher ISO use the night scene which will give you long shutter times. So I feel that a lot of complaints come from people that do not understand that all those high level features simple can not work on a small camera. Or they did not read the manual and started taking pictures thinking they were experts. Already the size of sensor is 1/8 or so from that of an Canon 30D so what do you expect. The whole camera works very fast, I bought it for my fahther to use and it will fit perfect.
Problems:
Yes pictures will be noisy in free mode with ISO set to Intelligent or ISO higher then 200 taking pictures inside house. So when you avoid that (and read all other brand small camera's review they suffer the same) it proves to be a great camera with great lens that was the main point for me.
