My first D-SLR. I found the D50 easy to use, fast start-up and shot to shot time.
Overall I am extremely pleased with the D50. I used it on a climb of Broad Peak in Pakistan in the summer of 2006. While a little heavy, it allowed me to get great shots of the Pakistani people and incredible mountain views. They can be seen at www.alanarnette.com/alan/karakorum.htm
What I like most are:
- image quality
- speed
- build quality
- battery life
Problems:
Bought the Nikkor 55-200mm lens but it had to be repaired for another $100 after only 4 months use albeit in somewhat harsh conditions.
