Fine camera. No problems with Aperture Ring (some earlier reviewers report lack of function) - if the lens can do it, so can this camera. I have a 3rd party 2X adaptor that prevents the camera using the auto exposure function but in mode M aperture ring + green button sets exposure perfectly. You need to read the manual carefully before trying to use aperture ring but then it is easy.
I bought the K10D to replace my istDS, which in turn replaced an old film Pentax. This one is much better in all ways except for the extra weight.
Problems:
I use HDR a lot to extend the dynamic range. The K10D allows 5 auto bracket shots, which beats the 3 that most cameras give but my computer (2 Gb of RAM) can't cope with 5 frames at 10 Mp. Saving them at 6.3 Mp (the next lower setting on ACR) brings the file sizes down to what my computer can manage.
