The purchase of this camera was mainly motivated by some features like the use of CF cards, AA batteries, manual zoom and focus rings, good LCD display and viewfinder, and a great deal of manual controls on the body.
The camera performs very well in outside and inside shots with little noise up to ISO400, built-in flash has a good fill, excellent anti-shake system either in low light and in telephoto zoom.
Some features are also very convenient: tilting LCD display for high and low shots, well-thought set of manual controls on the body (exposure compensation, flash modes, shot modes, AF modes, AE-Lock), excellent grip for my big hands, good AF illuminator.
Things I dislike: turning on the camera after it enters the power saving mode requires you to turn it off and on (not a simple press on the shutter as many other cameras) and the hot shoe has no TTL.
Overall is an excellent camera for trips and replaces my old Dimage7 with advantages.
