Getting this zoom range in a pocketable camera is what sets the TZ3 apart. If that combination is something that's not important to you, then you might as well look elsewhere.
Most shots could use at least a little postprocessing. Low-light flashless photography is the weakest point, but I have still gotten plenty of good indoor shots. It's a little hit and miss as I'm still learning what works indoors and what doesn't.
As for the slow USB connection -- what were they thinking? Good thing my computer has a card reader.
Battery life could be better. Check the Panny forum and you'll find where to get quality spares that cost very little.
Decent video mode, but the mic picks up every little hint of wind.
