If first impressions are anything to go by, then this is going to become a
landmark camera. Having been an EOS-1v HS user for 8 years, and an EOS
30D user for the past year, I can only say that this feels like a "user-friendly"
combination of the two. With the exception of the Live-viewing and LAN
features, which require some perusing, it could be used straight out of the box
by anyone familar with either of these afore-mentioned models. It's also a darn
sight lighter than anything that came before it (Pro models only), mainly due to
the feather-weight batteries. It looks like a winner!
Problems:
Those lousy LAN connection covers! I've lost two in the first week of use due to
their poor fit. I bought five to keep in reserve! CANON, you need to give the
caps a deeper thread....... PLEASE!
