Searching for a P&S camera, this isn't it. I used to lug my Canon 20D on the bike all the time and that's not a healthy environment for a D/SLR (in service being cleaned) So I needed a smaller P&S camera to take with me instead. I tried the Canon A640 but found the pics too noisy even at ISO100. The camera shop highly recommended the Oly (I used to own the 2100UZ and loved it) as it would certainly survive anything a bike trip could toss at it. Unfortunately I found it a little too difficult to handle outdoors at motorcycle rallies and ended up with too many blown shots. It's a decent camera, but when you can't see the LCD screen in daylight (even shielding it with hand) I find the camera useless for the type of work I need to do. Yes, being a heavy DSLR user I know I have to lower my pic quality expectations but I had hoped this might do the trick. Unfortunately no. Luckily, the shop had extended their return policy until I get back from Port Dover. Now to try something else.. but what?

Problems:

Hard to see LCD in daylight, exposure difficult to acquire (too dark or too over exposed depending on the background or foreground). Have to remember to keep finders out of the way of lens on the high right side of camera face.
