I own the camera, bought (body only)...I got the step up ver,14-54mm f/2.8-3.5 Zuiko to go with it..... Ouch...kinda.
Saving to finish off with the 50-200 Zuiko... Even more Ouch .... I hope to not ever have to make another camera purchse after this one.... Both of these would be great for the action shots..Other wise, the two lens default kit, perform well enough.
The 14-54 I have,is terrific.I have no problem capturing my little Yorkie,at full play, cut and dodge,in the back yard,at 1/500.With everything set as Auto.
I noticed in another review from (okeesweet),that it was mentioned that they wished Olympus supplied a DVD tutoral, with the camera...I will say that such a thing does exsist...From Olympus ...Only not free.
Price $29 80mns worth. It's the "DVD JumpStart Guide to the Olympus EVOLT E-510".it is advertised to cover, features and functions, menu options and provides an understanding of when to use these settings. Topics include quality settings, ISO, depth of field, program mode, histogram, and many others.
I do not own the DVD,I'm just posting this in case anyone is interested,or fills that Olympus should supply one.....
I figured that sence this really isn't me adding a commercial link,it may pass the moderators test..
