I've used the R1 for about a year and have been happy with the results. It is a big improvement over the F828. And I think the image quality is as good or better than what I get with my Nikon D80 and AF-D lenses. RAW images with the Sony are outstanding. However...
Problems:
...recently I have noticed blurring in my images along the left side and in about 20% from the edge. It is especially apparent in wide angle mode. I hadn't noticed this before, and I wonder if the lens has gone out of alignment with use or if it got bumped.
