Pentax Optio A30 review

Excellent images recorded by my A30, under all types of lighting conditions, whether the camera is left to make auto-decisions or is under manual control. The only reductions in quality result from deliberately experimenting with inappropriate exposure settings.
I bought the A30 to supplement my much appreciated Pentax digital SLR; needing something lighter when on foot all day. I have not been disappointed.
It did require some practice and careful study of the manual before I was able to obtain full control (has any manufacturer thought to design a contemporary digital camera where the user can immediately and directly scroll through and select from the full ranges of shutter-speed, aperture and sensitivity?)

Nothing that cannot be worked through.

Pentax Optio A30
10 megapixels • 2.5 screen • 38 – 114 mm (3×)
