Looked around for an SLR to replace my Sony R1. Looked at Canon's Sony's and Nikon. But the kit lenses you get with the Olympus are far superior, and the combination of dust reduction and Image stabilisation mad the choice easier.
Picture quality is excellent, and its small size means its very comfortable to use. In fact I have only used my other SLR, a 5D, once since I've owned it (I feel an eBay moment)
Problems:
Build quality could be better, but you just have to remind yourself how much it cost and the quality of the images.
