Great camera. This is the first DSLR that I have owned, although I have had experience with them in the past. This camera has the best user interface that i have ever seen, even easier to use than most point and shoots!
I Chose this camera over the less expensive Nikon D40 for a few reasons:
1. the Canon has auto bracketing, making HDR pictures a breeze
2. there are a wide variety of lenses I can purchase, where the Nikon uses AF-S lenses so there is less choice.
3. it uses SD cards!
Problems:
Why did Canon put a "live view" feature in this camera? it would be alright, except that auto-focus is disabled in the live view mode. The salesman told me that it comes in handy for portrait pictures, which it might, but still, it seems like a silly idea to me.
